Construction for Accountants – Part One

Construction

At our Wednesdays With Redchip webinar in September, Dylan from our Litigation team highlighted important QBCC and QCAT information Accountants need to know.

See below the presentation slides from the webinar or download them here.

Accountants need to be well informed on the QBCC and QCAT regulations as they are usually the registered office address of the licencee and are therefore the primary contact for notices and anything financially related to the company.

Redchip’s insolvency expert Dylan Carrier-Hubbard covered:

  • Directions to rectify issued by the QBCC;
  • Claims under the Home Warranty Scheme;
  • Pitfalls of notices issued by the QBCC; and
  • QCAT process for disputing notices issued.

Please get in touch with our team if you have any follow up questions on the content provided.
